The Skylark Partnership was formed when Northamptonshire Hospital and Outreach Education service converted to an academy in 2017.
The aim of our partnership has always been to grow into a larger specialist trust for academies educating children and young people who are too ill to attend their school. We currently have 2 academies in the trust, both based in the Midlands, with the Cherry Tree Learning Centre in Dudley joining us at the end of 2019.
In the years we have been operating we have shown that our geographically spread operating mode is successful. We have a sustainable resourcing model that gives us a secure financial future. Our school improvement strategy supports our academies to provide effective learning experiences to children and young people. Our scheme of delegation enables heads to build strong productive relationships with local authorities and schools which underpin the flexible and responsive provision they plan and deliver to their pupils and students.
We believe that as a specialist trust we are the best place for ‘hospital education’ providers to thrive. We have the experience and knowledge in all contexts that hospital education is delivered to help you develop your academy. While our ethos of collaborative development gives you the opportunity to support colleagues working in the same specialist area of education that you work in.
