Employers Engagement

Information for Employers and Providers

At Cherry Tree Learning Centre, we are committed to providing our students with the best opportunities for growth, both academically and in their future careers. One of the key aspects of our approach to career development is the robust Employer Encounter program, designed to offer students real-world insights into the workplace and help them build meaningful connections with employers across various industries.

Six Employer Sessions Throughout the Year

Our Employer Encounter program features six structured sessions held throughout the year. During these sessions, students have the opportunity to meet and engage with employers from a diverse range of sectors. These sessions are an integral part of our students’ learning journey, giving them first hand knowledge of different career paths and the skills needed to succeed in them.

By inviting employers to the Centre, students gain exposure to real-life career scenarios, industry-specific knowledge, and the soft skills required to thrive in the workplace. It’s not just about job roles, but understanding the expectations of the workplace and the career opportunities that lie ahead.

Additional Conversations on Careers and Future Opportunities

Beyond the formal employer visits, we are also keen on facilitating additional conversations regarding careers and future aspirations. These informal discussions allow students to explore their interests, ask questions, and gain advice on how to prepare for life after their studies. By offering personalised guidance, our staff works to ensure students are not only aware of the career options available to them but are also equipped with the tools to make informed decisions about their futures.

Planned Workplace Visits

In addition to employer visits at the Centre, we are excited to announce that we are planning trips to various places of work and access to varying roles. These visits will offer students an immersive experience of different working environments, allowing them to see how businesses operate first hand. These visits will provide a deeper understanding of different roles, workplace culture, and the day-to-day responsibilities within different industries. Students will have the chance to meet with professionals on-site, ask questions, and observe the intricacies of specific job functions.

Through these workplace visits, students can envision themselves in various roles, building a clearer picture of their potential career paths. The hands-on experience will help bridge the gap between classroom learning and the demands of the real world.

Building Stronger Career Foundations

At Cherry Tree Learning Centre, we believe that the combination of employer encounters, conversations about career development, and real-world work experiences will provide students with a well-rounded understanding of the professional landscape. This program not only enriches the learning experience but also lays the foundation for students’ future success.

By equipping students with knowledge, experience, and a network of professional contacts, we are helping to build a future where they feel confident and prepared to step into the world of work. We look forward to continuing to expand these opportunities and supporting students in every step of their career journey.
